Woman can do once in 4 years!
Today is 29 February! One extra day in the year of 366 days!


Today while I was in the car, Pekka drew my attention to the radio program. One lady was saying something in Finnish. Then One man said one or two words. Actually the woman had just proposed the man to marry her, and he accepted ! Live on radio.


Pekka told me, in this extra day, it is Finnish tradition that woman can propose man! The man may agree. If not, he has to buy a skirt for her !!


Pretty interesting :)

How did u enjoy the extra day of the year??

Bus train (!)
This is not a bus station in Oulu!


This is a normal bus stop, not even the busiest one !
The bus time has been rescheduled and all the buses come 'in a train' now-a-days...
So if you miss them, wait half an hour for the next 'bus-train'




This pic could be better, but thank me, i at least got this :D
there was another bus in front of the first bus in the pic..
That why i started numbering from 2.
Can you count the buses?

Sakari = 25
Late post :
Last month Sakari turned to 25 years old. I invited him and some others to watch a movie together. I didnt know it was his birthday :) Co-incidence !!

Every one was moving too much.. So I said, guys..freeze.. i gotta take a picture..
and Saija froze with the breads in hands :D


Here is the gift I gave to Sakari...
Yes, I agree it is weired :D
And that was the newest looking Bangladeshi currency I had !
Other notes I had were really dirty n darkish

Playing with lens
I borrowed a Canon 400D with two lenses from my work.


Playing with it !!


The second lens was a macro lens


I hate flash... but in many cases (except of course full manual mode)
this camera forced me to use flash.
( I love my tiny pocket cam, where you can disable the flash in any mode)



I guess it's fun to play with the depth of field


I really enjoyed it... Saija caught me while 'air-drumming'

Well, i was really loving to play with it.
This kind of dslr will open a lot of freedom, surely get you to the door of creativity.
But after playing with it for two days, i guess, I m not gonna buy it soon.
- it is too bulky. I am afraid I cannt carry it. If I carry I will loose it !!! ( very good chance)
- Lenses are much better and gives much more options. But I surely will need to carry 2 - 3 ( or more) lenses with me. May be I am not ready for it yet.
- Dragging it out of the bag will take time. Most of times, I take pics for blogging, which needs spontaneous ready-camera.
- Finally, this is expensive !

Well... still I am hoping to get one some day soon. I lllove playing with cameras ! ( It doesnt matter if my pics become any close to professional pics, but my fun matters)

Winter .. more...
It's getting more beautiful every day....

Luck

Lets say there are 100 units of luck !
And there are n number of ppl.

Total amount of luck is limited.. fixed and will be distributed among ppl. Some will get more, some less, some will have really a lot, some will have nothing !

When two ppl come in contact, luck among them may be exchanged by some units. But total amount of luck in the universe will be same.

How does it sound :)


Lets say two men bet on a coin.. 1 million dollar. The coin is flipped. Now surely it's luck.. one will be lucky, another not. One's luck will go to another!


If someone is getting lucky, this hypothesis says, another one is loosing it!! Since, the total amount of luck must be same !


I want to believe I am lucky. If I am, whose luck I am taking from? When will it be someone will in my scenario and take away most of mine ??

Oh, I have read today, in one university in Netherlands, some research was done among around 1,47,000 ppl ( i may have forgotten the number) and found there are certain ppl who are more prone to accidents than others. It's still unknown if these ppl have some common traits, but at least it has been found that, there are a group of these poor ppl :)

One example is probably Shup. Just let him walk at your home. He will soon stumble on something and hurt his knee or something :D ( No hard feelings, Shup !!)

    I have to agree with your theory. Ever since I'm the lucky one.

    I got/took all the luck in my fammily when I was born. I was never seriously injured, even though some of mine accidents might have finnished my life. I just imagine a thing that I want to happen and it happens - seriously!(of course not EVERYTHING happens - eg. I never won first price in lottery yet, maybe that's also a matter of time ;))And it's not a matter of hard working, my sister works hard, but she doesn't have the luck, that is why I'm the one who gets everything...

    I once used to think that, may be I just notice every single lucky events whereas others dont and feel themselves unlucky. May be others forget to scream after they get a six when they roll the dice!


    But still i guess some are luckier than others!

Coffee in toilet
Today while I was walking through the corridor to catch the lift at my work,I suddenly saw a glance of this scene...

A guy is going into toilet with a coffee cup in the hand !!!



HMM!!! I was trying to picture what's gonna happen next :D

Well I have seen in one movie that a guy goes to toilet every morning with a pack of milk!
I have seen many times in tv that a guy is reading newspaper in the toilet.. but coffee ? Hmm.. it must be a nice experience too... having a warm smoky coffee sitting there :D

One winter night I wanted to start a car...
This is a story of a guy who became very hungry in late night and wanted to grab some grill foods...

One winter night I wanted to start a car... and...



I sighed... a hard work is harder when you are hungry ...
Did it ever happen to you ? A frozen student car and you are hungry?



Slow and painful cleaning process...



...guess what happened later? The key hole was frozen..
So warming up the key with lighter...


And several attempts to melt the ice inside the keyhole!

Firefox with mouse
Geek post :

If you spend hours in the internet and sometimes lazy enough that u prefer to hold pees rather than going to toilet, it's a must have tool for you :

Install firefox plugin mouse gestures

Click and hold the right mouse button and drag left, it will go back to last page.

Some examples:
Back (Left):
Goes back a page in the browsing history.



Forward (Right):
Goes one page forward in the browsing history.



Close Tab/Window (Down-Right):
Closes the active tab, or if there is only one tab, the window.



New Tab (Up):
Opens the link crossed by the gesture in a new tab.
If there is no such link, an empty tab is opened.

Install mouse gestures 1.5.2 (Open this link from firefox)

( I kinda advertised it... coz i loved it )
