Wow.. time flies...
And people change...

Once I was a kid and there were lots of kids around me, I played with them, shared comic books with them, studied with them...

Then I went to college, a lot of those kids were not there with me. Some went somewhere else intentionally, some failed to join the flock...

Then I came to my university alone... simply totally alone.. cause that time, I left the flock. Leaving the best public university BUET, I came to study in the private university... my life changing decision. And the kid continued alone.

In the end, there was only one good fellow left with me as I grew up. I met some extremely wonderful people and I now have a few friends, but this guy is so far the only ONE standing since I was 10! ne of my favorite persons

Here he is...the most practical and yet impractical friend of mine.

Eamon, a warm hug !
The number 25, The Silver Jubilee... wow !!
Happppy Happy Birthday .

I have to post about this.
It happened on 8 August, 2007 2:04 pm (One day before my engagement and Aqth).

I was shopping for Shanila, for the engagement, and we were near the new market...and suddenly my sister screamed, hey hey... isnt that shanila's car ??

Whollaa..... it was that white car...
The car was full.. and obviously they were shopping as well.

They have noticed us too ( I think I noticed someone desperately trying to see me ...hehe.. i guess it was one of Shanila's aunts who hasn't seen me before)

Their white car is ahead in the pic.

I had quite a lot of shopping bags on my lap, and it was quite a surprise...but I was fast enough to capture the shot :D wuhooo

It was Tuesday, 18.09.07.
I was supposed to submit my application to extend my residence permit, which will expire soon.
I was expecting to get it within one or two weeks and then to apply for Shanila's.
The night before I had decided to start for the Police station at 7.30.

I woke up from bed late, and with the last strength I was able to be on the street at 8:04, my bus is at 8:06. So I failed to get money from the ATM (Oulu Police does not accept Visa Electron).

Then, I was waiting and waiting for the bus, and the bus was late. I cursed it, coz I could have got the money from ATM by this time and that could save some time.

I got down near the Police station, and went to the nearby market. There were two ATMs. I put my card into one, and the take money button was disabled!!!
Tried again, no result !!

I went to the next one, and same there ! I was panicking !! Does it mean, my card is locked ?!!

I called Tuomas and he told me probably the machines ran out of money. So I had to walk a long way to the next ATM and get 200euros.

I went to the police station and submitted my application to the lady. She checked the papers and told me, it might take even two months to process my app!!! They might need to send this to labor ministry !!

I asked is there anything that i can do about it ? She told me, well, may be you can write an application explaining. I took a sheet of paper and wrote about my marriage.

Then she looked at my picture and told me, ups, your face is small in the picture ( And interestingly in my picture, I thought, my face is quite big!!) The EU commission is stricter than before and you must take a proper picture with accurate size and face proportion ( Hm.. may be they will introduce some kind of face recognition algorithm soon)

So I had to go the near by Shoe maker shop. yes, the shoe maker take pictures too. They took 10e ( !!! ) to give me 4 pics.

I came back and submitted my app, wishing it would be processed faster.

I was a little bit relieved, at least, I was able to submit it fast. Then in the night, I suddenly figured out, I forgot to fill up my mothers birth place and my fathers birth place. I was supposed to call my mom and get info about it.

So, next morning I ran again, told the lady about it and filled up those empty places.

A few hours later she emailed me, 'Your application has been sent to Labor ministry, which can take months'

There is already some kind of face algorithm in EU. But for that your picture have to be taken from the front with some acurate position of eyes and so on(I have a new passport with such picture)

How stupid is she!!
A German policitian proposed that marriage should dessolve automatically after seven years.
If you want to stay married, you need to marry your partner again !!!!!!!

In a wild-gamble election bid for the leadership of the Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU), a two-time divorcee who put the kink back into conservative politics, suggested that marriages should dissolve automatically.

Well lady, even though I am not a German, but you have just lost my vote.

I hate the Title "A quick tour". U better know those were not quick. So, there should not be any upload on quick tour. All u can bring wid title "A lengthy Tour"

It's 'Quick' because it could be even lengthier. Just imagine what would happen if I had posted all the pics with description.

Do you remember that kid's story ?
Once there was a bird named Tuna and a bird named Tuni ...
They had a tiny happy nest...

We are going to have "OUR" ( Me and Shanila ) first ever house.
Its very close to my current one...

Check the red dots and the lake

I am going to move their on 1.10.2007. Why so early without Shanila ?
Because the stupid visa process will probably be smoother if they see I have already arranged a family house for her. Hope that will make them believe I really have a wife and I am really ready to bring her here.

No..no... no house warming party yet. The party will be once Shanila comes here, ok? :)

Oh, here is some info for those who are eager to come to Finland ( I have already found a really good number of people who are really interested to fly here)

If you want to rent a student house go to www.psoas.fi ( for Oulu only) and look for the In English button.

Apply online keeping a few months in your hands. Specially if you come to start a new semester.

A family apartment will cost no less that 385 euros = (around 36,000 tk) per month :(

The deposit money for family apartment is 400 euros ( You will get it back when u will leave)

U know trouble and hobby make the quicktest and sometimes the best friendship between two.
If you find another guy in the same trouble you are in or if you two have the same hobby, then you will notice how

amazingly you two can cope with each other.

I had 26.4 Kg of luggage, two heavy handbags, and had to climb up a stair in the train station. I was panting and

sweating like hell, It was also hard to get into the train with all these. I was really worried where to put the luggage, because its too heavy to put on the top carriage.

Anyways, the first thing I saw after getting into the train, a guy of my age panting. He was also drowning in luggages. We both said hi and exchanged sweaty smiles.

As u can guess, we two helped each other with luggages and after 5 mintues it seemed we know each other for weeks.

He was Carlos from Mexico.. Just flew from there. Studying Finance at University of Vasaa.

He showed me the chillis he brought from Mexico.

also one puppet, probably his favorite TV character.

Good to have a hand in need :)

Oh one more interesting thing, our compartment is full of kids :D
Its hard to find so many kids here

I am back. Back to the statistically number one honest country in the world.
By this time ( after living here over 1 year) I know all the airports, I know all the buses to take, I know from where to take the train, the roads are familiar... It's very easy now to NOT get excited.

Right now I am inside the train to Oulu. I have just called Shanila, and I could almost picture her answering my phone call !!! I had started missing her deadly as soon as my plane started taxing from Dhaka Airport. I am missing my mom, my friends and my kingly life back in Dhaka.

Hei, let me get out of this "emo-trap" and talk about the "euro-trip".

The airpots:
------------------
Dubai airpot was much cleaner and bigger and less dence than Abu Dhabi one!

Greetings at Dubai Airport

View from Dubai Departure room

Frankfurt airport seemed really big and busy.

Frankfurt

Train inside the airport, Frankfurt

Helsinki airport was as usual ... empty :)

"Hmm" part:
------------------
When I entered Dhaka airport, I saw a huge line in front of a boarding desk. I was praying...please tell me this is not my boaring desk. Well, it was :(

But then came a guy towards me from no where. I paid him 200 bucks ( he claimed 250) and I found myself after only 3 people and guess what? The luggage of 26.4kg (Ups) was taken without a word !! ( I had allowance of 20kg only!!)

Hmmm... tell me how to say to myself "NOT GUILTY" when I know paying and taking bribe are equal crimes.

Interesting part:
------------------
Did you know in Frankfurt airport, there is a train to inside the airport to move from one terminal to another?

Hei, I have a full video of around 1 minute trip. I will put it here soon ( Cant upload so much data from train trough cell phone)

Scary part:
------------------
At the departure gate in Dubai airport, one stupid guy ( By skin tone, I think he was Bangladeshi) ruined my relaxation totally. He checked my boarding pass and asked for some documents to prove that I work. Finally, he was not satisfied and took my passport off me ( That is really really scary!!!) and told me that he would keep it to

make a copy. I asked him again, are you sure you want me to get in the departure room leaving my passport here? I hated him when he nodded.

It was a loooooooooong 45 mintues until I heard my name announced and got my passport back !!!

Coolest part:
------------------
I was really prepared to have a shitty flight from Dhaka to Dubai. Because, you know, those labors usually fly through this route. And my last experiences about Dhaka-Abu Dhabi flights were totally crappy. But this time...woooooo. It was cool, clean and to my complete disbelieve, it had the LCD tv thing. I enjoyed the full spiderman-3 movie.( I thought some hard core action will help me to forget my sadness)

Cool part:
------------------
At Frankfurt I had the quickest immigration ever guessed !!
I was entering Europe through Frankfurt, so I expected a looong holding at Frankfurt immigration.
But..woow.. the immigration gate was totally empty, and the officer lazily took my passport, opened the VISA page

and asked 'Where r u going?', I said "helsinki" and what the... he returned the passport. NO seal on the passport, no query.. it was just a few seconds.

And of course in Helsinki there was no passport checking at all. (Because I was already in Europe.)

Not cool part:
------------------
I could not get window seats in Dhaka - Dubai and Dubai frankfurt flights :(
(BUt I had asked for it )
I wished I could see the deserts again.

Cold part:
------------------
It felt sooooo cold at Helsinki !! I am sure the temparature was over zero and before I could handle it quite

comfortably. But after coming from Dhaka, I was really shivering !!!

Well, here I am. Back to Europe - First world country - country of lakes - country of least corruption - one of the

richest country.
But all these attributes are appearing to me as "bla bla" now.
Call me old fashioned... call me stupid...
But I started counting the day when I will go back to Bangladesh !!
I am not stupid that I wont enjoy my stay in Finland, But I will still wait for the first possible chance to go back to MY COUNTRY !!
