Bartek told me he came to know this weekend there is a good chance for northern light !

I kept my eyes open.
Saterday night I was in a party and couldnt check it !

Sunday night the sky was not clear !!

Last night ( sunday night) I was watching "Cars" the animated movie.
Then suddenly i looked outside from my 7th floor... I saw the stars twinkling.
hm..stars.. that means the sky is clear !!

hm..that means...

I looked left.. north is that side of window..
I looked up ..

CRAP !!!

what the hell !!

I jumped out of my bed.. turned of the light...and shit !!

It was a strong greenish light over the north sky !!
The sky is like a big glass bowl upside down.. and some one had put some glowing green jelly over the bowl !!
And with a blow the jelly was crawling, and twisting, getting stronger and weaker !!

I shouted to my room mate...
I said, lets check it out from the lake..

We ran out within 30 secs. and ran to the lake.. actually on the lake..coz the lake is frozen !

Well, by that time, it became very weak !! But yah !! I know what I saw..
FINALLY.. northern light !

Well, i m pretty excited and happy ! ( Even though I miss my camera)
Who thought I would come this north of the earth !
And I would repent whole life if I couldnt have seen a northern light after coming so north of the earth !

Well, i tried to take some pics using cell, but as u can guess its too dark for cell phone cams !

Bartek has a bear factory at his flat !



































First put yeast and bla bla in that big drum, on the drum cap there are some vulve to let extra gas out !
After a couple of days the drum will be ready.




















and you need a hell lot of empty bottles. Bartek said next time he would use coffee filter when he would pour the bear into them; that will take extra yeast out !






































A bag of caps and a machine to punch the caps on the bottles ! Put the bottles in the refrigertaor for a while, cool it enough and you will get bubbles !

The cold is following shup !
When he was in Finland alone last year, it was almost -30 in the winter ! ( OMG !)

He went to Bangladesh December 2006 !
N December 2006, as I told before, was extremely cold in Bangladesh !

In Finland, without Shup, it was quite warm ! Instead of below 20, it was +1 or 0 !

Today it was -2/-3.
Shup is coming back in Finland in two days !
Weather forcast said, it will be -18 in the night after two days !!

Winter is following shup :D
( May be because he hates it !)

Well , just to try a bite, i couldnt stop before eating the half !!
It's very good !!
N smoked !! So its actually very very good !!





















I m gonna have a good dinner with carrot juice and toast bread with these sausages !!

Bartek is back from Poland..

It has been totally empty here..
I have been most of the time alone here, of course, except december.
December was fun with Shup, Kate and Bartek..

So when all of them left, it took me time to get back to loneliness..

Now Bartek is back..
Good to see him:)

It was in the bus service office.
I went there to update my monthly bus card.

There was a woman with her kid in the counter. I was waiting for my turn .

Hmm !! Something is weired here ! Something is different .. but what ??

Then suddenly !! Hey, the woman took the kid on her lap !!!!!!!

Just like the way women in bd do while they r busy !!

I smiled all the time I could see them :)

Interesting view..Never saw kids this way, they had been either standing on their own, or in their cars

In Bangladesh it should not be this cold. It is extremely cold..coldest ever recorded in past 7 years in some places.. in 2 days cold wave killed at least 17 ppl (dailystar- jan 04)


December 2006 was the warmest December ever on record in Finland. Average mean temperatures were 6 to 8 degrees Celsius above the 1971-2000 average. (virtual.finland)




Hmm !! One good thing is that I m not dying here in -20, it is still unbelievably + 3 here ! But the question is, is it just a random year ? Or is it a syndrome of something bigger?

That was the my first ever pool game.
(once at dhaka i played for a few minutes taking one of my uni-mate's stick)

I m sure the guys here are quite amateur ! Otherwise how on earth i won the runner's up trophy, beating the round robin, semi final, quarter final matches !!

It was definitely fun..
We non-christians had organized this tournament for xmas holidays !
