Chick and egg problem? Resolved (!)
Which came first? Chicken or the egg?

According to the CNN news, after the publication of the rather dry-sounding scientific paper, "Structural Control of Crystal Nuclei by an Eggshell Protein," press headlines proclaimed the answer was... the chicken.

Using Britain's national supercomputer, they were able to simulate the process of biomineralization, or the production of minerals or solid materials inside organisms. They also found that the egg can't be produced without the protein ovocledidin-17 in the chickens' ovaries, so that means that the chicken must have come first. Right?

Obviously, it's not really what we were trying to get out of our simulations, but it's an interesting question isn't it?" Freeman said.

Well, I guess the problem is not yet solved conclusively! So keep telling the riddle next time you can't solve something, no one will yet mind ;)

    Yah :D

    But hei, again i will tell, it all depends on, the 'definition' of chicken.

    If we define that a chicken is a bird that is 'born' from an egg that we are in the loop :D, but if the definition of chicken does not include the birth from egg, then..wohoo.. problem solved.

We're all Gonna Die
The image in the project is 100 meters long, contains portraits of 178 people and… perhaps leaves a little impact on the viewers, considering the title "We're all Gonna Die - 100 meters of Existence"

"Two hours of shooting a day over 20 days (only two hours because the light falling onto the people I was photographing had to come from the same angle..." said Simon Hoegsberg in the interview.

He added "I have been and am delighted to receive so many emails from people around the world who’ve seen the photograph, and who have decided to write me to let me know that my work has had an impact on them"

BY LAW (!) 1Mbps, for the first time

As of July 1 2010, every one in Finland gets a right BY LAW to have high speed broadband of 1 Mbps. Finland is the first country to make it a legal right that every one of her citizen will have a minimum of 1 Mbps.

"Up to 96 per cent of the population is already online and only about 4,000 homes will need to be connected to comply with the law."
