Practically it didnt feel to me that I had been in Sweden,another different country, But theoritically yes, I stepped on Sweden. Coz I crossed the border of Finland.. It was a bridge and on the other side of the bridge Sweden started...Just like that !!

As a matter of fact, No border checking, no checkpost, no policeman, nothing...it was not exciting :(


Anyways, it started at 13:50, 7/7/2006.
I get out of office and headed for the city center.. The meeting place was near the famous ball.. A huge ( probably stone, i m not sure) ball that u can roll on water ( the kid in the pic is trying to do the same)














I started my "Mood" With a chochlate icecream with vanila inside ( same as chochbar).
I was waiting for Sakari to pick me up. It was quite nice to wait in the busy and relaxed area.
There was red-indian looking guys playing awesome music with flutes and drums ( actually selling their CDs i guess) , A tourist train to take people around the city.. Nice happy air :)



Sakari came, He was delayed by an under construction road ( which i have seen underconstruction since I have arrived)


We picked his friend, Aari ( the spelling is most possibly wrong, sorry Aari !! :D) and started for Sweden.
They were at the front sits, i was enjoying myself at the back looking thru the window.














Sakari has bought "Pommac" from gas station, It tastes veeeery similar to alcoholic drink, but it has no alcohol, I m planning to take a bottle to Dhaka :)














Highway at around 120km/h Speed. Those slow caravan always forced us to overtake them!! It was fun when we overtake them at sudden high speed.














The highways became boring soon. Pine trees on the left, pine trees on the right...hm.. sometimes little bridges to take you out of boredom.














And suddenly we were at the border. As I told, there is nothing changed... We just crossed a bridge which separated the two countries.. ( so when u r on the bridge, u r on No Man's Land, Rnt u ??)
Aari pulled of fhis finger to say, "....Aaaaaaannd we are in Sweden, NNnnow"














Why there are flags ? none of us could figure it out!! There were flags on many places, even across the streets hung by string.














Main business first. The guy came here to buy drinks.. Loooots of. If u calculate, the prices of drinks in sweden + transport cost is less than prices of drinks in Finland














Each empty can will give you 50 crown ( 5 cents in Euro). Not bad !!















Time to buy new cans !!!
















After a couple of mintues, stock full again..Now look at the car trunk !! ( By the way, all of them are non-alocholic drink, "Battery","Cocacola" and "7 up")















Okay !! Lets take some pictures with cans :D




























Roaming around the city, It was unbelievably deserted. Almost no ppl, almost no car !!

And by the river that acted as a border between Finland and Sweden. Pretty quiet and beatiful and warm.

On the way back, we stopped at a little amusement park carnival type thing.
N chose the UFO ride.

It startes rotating, and u get stuck on the wall, and move upwards.. cool !! Look at the kid !!














"High Energy" ride ( not the wheel).Real shitty, almost threw up all the food I ate !!















And that's it !! Back to Finland now. It was quite a fun day !!
