So many people have so many ideas about marriage. I have met so many people from so many cultures with so many concepts. Well, I have my own too.

When I was a kid, in my school, in the social science class, I was taught,
Marriage is a social 'institution', where a man and a woman (well, at school they surely skip two men, two women thing) can create a family, which is socially and religiously accepted.

Quite boring concept.

Here, I have found a group of people who claim, marriage sucks. Marriage is the beginning of a divorce. "Why would you want to marry? Just live together happily! I know my friend is living with his girlfriend for years now, and not married. On the other hand, look at my other friend, they got married and within a year, they got separated."

May be sometimes marriage creates such strong social and/or religious bond, that the emotional bond becomes less powerful. Whereas, before marriage, the only bond is the emotional bond, and thats why its so strong !!

I have seen many people dating and having fun with many, but finally ending up being a loyal husband. Pre marriage dating is just for fun for them.

I have seen people who are looking for an opportunity to marry one. Desperately searching around with failure. Either they dont know what to look for or they are unlucky.

Some believe they have found the person. They pursue and they fail. Some fail because they really are loser, and some are really really unlucky, they fail because the mountains they have to cross to get each other, are unbelievably tough.

And there are some quietly waiting. Waiting for it to just happen.

Well, some are happily living together, some change their partners and restart another happy living together, some never find, some never marry, some get married and get separated.. complex complicated society goes around.

I have seen many ugly things as well, ( I may be a 'kid' that doesnot mean world will hide itself from me). And I grew a strong concept.

I will try once. I will give everything to one single girl.... everything that I own. I will try whatever humanly possible. If it works, I will bring the heaven on earth, if it fails, I still have so many fun things to do in such a short life, its ok to be alone for the rest.

But I decided not to desperately look for her. Since I will give everything possible, she has to come to me, by luck, by chance or by God.

Well, I believe my wish came true.

You know what?

DONT MARRY SOMEONE YOU CAN LIVE WITH....

MARRY SOMEONE YOU CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT.

You know what more?
I want to get married, so that I can give her even more. I have a strong emotional bond with her, but I want to marry so that I can create even more bonds, social and religious bond. I am sure I can give more in this way.

You know what more more?
I want to get married, because I want to be witnessed. There are 6.6 billion people on the planet. Among this huge number, I am one single insignificant figure. Yet, my life will be witnessed. My believes, my beautiful moments, my sufferings, everything will be witnessed by her. And I will witness one more life sooo closely as well.

With full honor to my country's tradition and my religious believes, I am going to marry one girl.

I wish you are wishing me goodluck right now:)

There are 101 problems ahead of me, there has been as well, but if my situation supports me, you will get an invitation. If not, be sure there were a concrete wall that will take some more effort to break.

I never disagreed I am a kid.

Here I go, I am going to invite one more kid to "PLAY" with me.

FAQ:)

Q: Why havent I talked about her in this blog or anywhere?
A: As I have told you, I wanted to give one single best shot. You can call me traditional if you want, but I wanted either one or none. So I decided not to disclose it, until I am about to make it a success :)

Q: So you made it a success?
A: Almost.

Q: When is the ceremony?
A: I am coming home in August. So in August. Dates are not 100% confirmed. I will let you know, no worries :)

Q: Who is she?
A: Aaa.. there are so many things I want to tell about her:) but wait for surprises. I will try to share my life here, as before, but may be not my life.. 'our' life. So you will know a lot about her soon.

Q: Isnt it too early for you ?
A: By social 'city' rules, yes, it is for me. But there are other facts ( I dont want to go for such a long story), that will make you say, yes, this is the right time.

Q: Was it easy to make it a success?
A: Yes, easier than I expected. Because I always prepared for the worst case. Anything better than the worst case, is easy. ( Ups, too philosophical). Well, I had to pass one of the hardest time of my life. Believe me, it was. But ultimately, it was smooth in a sense, coz it could be worse.

Q: Whats the plan after marriage?
A: I am coming back in Finland at the end of August. Then I will bring her here. Until I start my higher studies, she will be here with me...well, thats the plan for now.

Q: Hey, you have a great educational background so far. Dont you think this responsibility will take you backwards?
A: Life first, then career. I am sure if I would be a single, some things would be easier for higher studies. But on the other hand, until I make this a success, I cant really concentrate totally on anything. And don't you think if you have a great company, you can cross a long sweating road better? If our goal is the same, she will pull me up, when I am down.

Q: But still I mind. You have never told about her. Havent you lied with us then?
A: No, most of the times I smiled back to the questions. I told you, I wanted to keep it with myself, until I make it a success.

Q: Why are you telling now?
A: Because I am about to be successful. And I want everyone to wish me Goodluck :)
This is going to be the happiest moment of my life. So wish for us:)

Q: You are lucky !!
A: I never disagree:)
If I roll a dice and its a six, I scream to all, i got 6 ! I got 6 !
May be you have got 6s before, but you forgot to scream :D
Well, I'm feeling lucky.. I truly am.

    The Flushing Bride
    By Emily Walden Emerson

He a desk clerk, her a maid
Of a huge hotel where tourists stayed
He only saw her now and then
But he knew how their tale should end

He tried and tried to find a time
He could ask her “Please be mine”,
When he could be on bended knee
And speak the most poetic plea
    From such a classical position
    Could she resist his proposition?

But she was busy, he was shy
And fast the time went by and by
    Until she caught another’s eye
And he thought the second man might try

So he knew he must act fast
He’d find her now and ask at last
He searched and searched to no avail
But was determined not to fail

Then he smelled her sweet perfume
    Right outside the ladies room
He took some flowers in full bloom
And went in after, to be her groom

Well she was shocked (how would you feel
To see a man approach, then kneel
While you were emptying your bladder
It would be quite an awkward matter)

“Please don’t think it too upsurd
If I could have a little word
I know my timing’s rather bad
But to lose this chance would be more sad
    If you’re having trouble concentrating
I’ll wait till you’re through urinating”

“Well”, the maid said, full of dread
“If you must speak then go ahead”
So he bravely took her hand
Took a deep breath and then began

“For so long, I’ve dreamed of this
To propose and then to kiss
I know that you don’t know me well
Ask anything and I will tell
Yes there’s still so much to learn
    We’ll have surprises every turn
But as I see you there, upon the throne
The sweetest frown, ever I’ve known
I’ve seen your best and smelled your worst
And still my heart it longs to burst

So take this ring it is a symbol”
She said “It looks just like a thimble.”
He said “Sorry, I had to hurry
The other man, he made me worry.”
“The other man? What nonsense utter,
That man you mean, he is my brother.”

“Your brother? That’s such a relief
But I found courage in my false belief
So here we are, and here’s the ring
Or the closest thing that I could bring
So please say yes, once and for all
Right here and now inside this stall”

Somehow, just then, the ring fell in
“Shall I reach in, or is that a sin?”
“I think it better that you not
It really wasn’t worth a lot”
Then she added, with a blush
“And I haven’t yet a chance to flush”

As you wish, but I’ve no issue
To touch your urine or your tissue
I swear I’d swim in a sea of pee
If that would make you marry me
My Lady, let your heart decide,
Would you consent to be my bride?”

    “I can’t resist. That’s so romantic!
And I see that yours is quite gigantic!
I’m speaking of, of course, your heart
For it’s the most important part

So I say yes, I’ll be your bride
You’ve won me with how hard you’ve tried”
They shared a kiss, he smiled wide
For a touch of tongue she had applied

“Please carry me out, if it sounds not dumb
(It’s not for romance, my legs are numb)
One last thing, please don’t place blame
If I might ask, per chance, your name?”

And that’s the story of how they began
The Flushing Bride, and her brave, brave man
And how that day he did trap her
Then and there upon the crapper
(Yes, they lived happy, ever after)

MAN!!! All the best and keep her warm in Finland!! ;)

That's most beautifull definition of mariage that I ever heard!

    Congratulation man! And GOOD LUCK!

You will finally marry that person you can not live without, for whom you prefered to stay in your room then to spend some time with friends.

I wish I could meet her one day, maybe next summer in Finland :)

    Once again GOOD LUCK!

Quick and short update :

Last night I dropped an application for a family apartment with 2 rooms and a kitchen. Lets see if I can get one.

The problem is, soon a loooot of people are coming in town, coz summer vacation ends and new education year starts.

Why am I applying for a family flat?
Be smart !
And stay tuned !

I have already been in couple of summer cottages here, in both Finnish and Asian style. But surely this last trip was the most EVENTFUL trip.

And I am sure I have never played so many games in one single day.
Volleyball, cricket, badminton, ping pong, boating, poker, murder ( Aweome game introduced by Kate) and a lot of singing !!

Another best part.. food.. of course, there were plenty of food. Literally, the house was full of foods.

I have to agree, the most fun part was singing together with Enayet's Guitar. Everyone was singing... even Srilankan Sandun managed to sing some bangla song !!!! It was awesome!

Well, I dont have much time to discuss everything that happened, but I will surely share some pictures...

Here you go... click on the picture to start the slide show

Till the last summer cottage trip, I knew Sandun just by face...only in Volleyball court. Today I went to visit his place and they were amazing.

I had a great time with them chatting. And I was welcome with a Srilankan dinner. And that was absolutely great !! They had dal ( lintel), a little different cooking style than ours, some fish fry, salad and mashed fish. I went crazy, I didnt have hunger, yet I could not stop ! I think it is over 8 months since I had this good mashed fish last time.
Chamari and Sandun...
the happy grins of the couple ( I loved them)

They even gave me their wedding cake. I was honored :)
Each and everyone were given this cake at the entrance in their wedding ceremony.

They told me this wedding cake can last 25, 50 years.

So some even save their wedding cake to celebrate 25th anniversary !! Nice idea!

I saw their wedding pics. I was jealous :P They surely had a great fun in their 9 days of honeymoon.

Cheers!!
Long live the happy couple !!

    Exactly!! Exactly!!

I was really late this morning. I went to work at around 10. And the first thing I stumbled on, was probably the least thing I can expect.. Enayet vai... right infront of me. With the same old smile !

That was really a shock ! I was like a bit sleepy and thinking what to do today. But the surprise got me awake totally!!

Well, he is still talkative:)

The change? No, not in appearance at all, not in the smile, not in the talkings...except his talkings are mostly centered around his work now.

We had our lunch and dinner together and right now he is right infront of me. I am writing and he is, well, talking:D

We, me, shup and Enayet were together after a really long time.

Good to see him back after all :)

Oh, i forgot to add a few more things.
He is still great with guitar. We already had a long session with guitar (and shup's terrible voice).

Enayet has been 'plugged in' in one day. He already had beef stakes and potato, with pure bangladeshi spices! He is going with us at the summer cottage trip ( 250km away from Oulu, for the whole weekend).

For his co-workers... he is really excited to see all those 'real' buildings, 'real' torikatu, 'real' pine trees, which has been only in 3d models and textures so far :D
(Psst.. I think he is going to take texture snaps personally :P)

Home home home!!

I can see balloons everywhere...
I can hear whistles all around...

Home ! I can smell it !

85% possibility I am coming home on August 2.
I am leaving Finland on August 1.
(Oulu - Helsinki - Munich - Abu Dhabi - Dhaka )

I have just talked with Toni and I think this is going to be the final plan!!

Ahhhh!!!
Cant explain my feelings now!

I missed the bus when I was coming from work today. Then I decided to check around the shop, summer sale is going on there. I thought I should check those out.

And in H&M, suddenly my eyes were caught by a shirt. Those who know me well, know how picky I am about shirts and their fabrics. As soon as I noticed the shirt, I knew its gonna be for me. There was only one piece of this kind, the fabric was 100% cotton.
There was no price tag.

Anyway, I went to the store girl, asked the price, it sounded quite reasonable (this shirt was not on sale btw).

I gave a few minutes trial and I decided..OK this is going to be the first ever shirt I will buy outside BD.

I brought it home, put it on to give another trial. I was happy.

I took if off and then whops!!?? Whats that! "Made in Bangladesh" tag !!! :D

Hehehehehehehe.I was soooo happy to see it !! I m sooo happy to find that made in Bangladesh logo in H&M, oulu, Finland !

No, I am not repenting at all, that I could actually buy it cheaper in Dhaka. I am rather happier to give some money back to Bangladesh Garments ;)

Gagan

update : 11 July :
Tuomas said H&M is a swidish company. They design it in Sweden and make it in the East, e.g. Bangladesh. So I dont think you can find this shirt in Bangladesh market actually :(

Then I heard it..
then I felt the wet fresh air on my face coming from the window..

I couldnt believe how wonderfully similar the rain was with the rain I used to see !!
Deep shower, with totally gray clouds !!

A 45 second clip for you!

Well it has been raining quite a lot here. But this was the greatest here!
The rain drops were long and heavy! :)
Wonderful wonderful feelings !

By the way, off topic, check this video, no, not made by me, but this guy will show you a wonderful storm :)

It is almost 2 weeks I am without the company sim. I told you i have lost my phone.

Now Sonera was supposed to mail me a new sim. But for some reason, they didnt.

Just now I have found the interesting funny story!

When Sonera was asked to resend a new sim, they actually re-activated the old sim, even though that was stolen!haha!
But now they have realized the mistake and they promised to give 10Euros discount in the next months bill

Nice try to compensate!
